Islay is in the vets today for a dental :( I KNOW she will be fine, I KNOW she will come through the anaesthetic OK, but I am worried....:(:(:(:(:(

Vet said he would put her on a drip too just to be sure, and would ring or text when she was done :o
 
Good luck Islay, you'll soon be Colgate fresh and curled up on the bed! :D

She will be fine but I know what a worry GA's are. Hope you get the phone call soon.
 
I couldnt wait any longer so I have just phoned - she has had a couple of extractions and is just coming round, but still very woozy :(

I am really not looking forward to my vets bill tonight - £175 for Flick, plus Islay's dental at around £150 plus extractions....:o:o:o

Can't you get them to pull the lot out pre-emptively and get her a set of dentures? :p

Joking aside, hope she comes round soon and isn't too sore. :)
 
LOL Blackcob, I should have suggested that :D It was £250 when her teeth were done a couple of years ago as she had LOADS of extractions :o - dentures would be so much easier :D

My bank balance, on the other hand, is most definitely NOT well :o

I left her for a couple of hours tonight then offered her a well-soaked bowl of Skinners - a couple of minutes later I glanced up and thought 'oh she has had enough then, well at least she ate something'

I got up to find the bowl was sparkling and empty :D Despite terrifying me earlier by biting her own tongue when panting (blood everywhere!) she seems absolutely fine now, although she does look a bit puffy and swollen poor girl :o She has antibiotics and Rimadyl for the next few days :)

Just glad she came through it OK, I have resorted to the 'its only money' concept, they are always so worth it :):):):)

Flick's head has healed really well, hopefully now the stitches are out it will go back to being flat again :D

Have to admit I feel a tad guilty after my vets bill for 'the stupid accident that was entirely my fault' incident was only 44 quid for both visits! I was expecting much more....and would have bloomin deserved to pay a lot more too! :o
Never mind, both your girlies are on the mend now, keep them all wrapped in cotton wool for a few months ;) :D

Exactly - I just phoned my dad and explained that I wasnt quite going to be paying back the full amount I owe him even though I have sold the lorry....he wasnt entirely surprised, I think he knows me quite well by now :D But I paid back 89% of what I owe, so I suppose that is a start :rolleyes:
 
89% is bloody good! It's not your fault anyway, can't help the little treasures needing the vets can you now! :D

And I am so hoping that the Cayla special doesnt need the vet for anything anytime soon, that would completely finish me off :D They did clip her claws for me tonight though, so I reckon they are all three MOT'd for the time being :D
 
You mean Cayla didn't teach her to clip/file her own nails!?! :eek: Thats shocking, write a formal complaint! :p :D
