BE/ unaffiliated events in North East Scotland?

As it looks like another summer in bonny Scotland I fancy trying my hand at volunteering/ fence judging. So ... How does one get involved and am I at slight disadvantage geographically?

Seriously need to get more horses in my life before I go insane!!!!!

How about contacting Pony Club/Riding Clubs? Don't know which RC branch is running Area 22 Horse Trials this year (was Findon last year, I think), but they're always looking for helpers! Aberdeenshire Pony Club run hunter trials, hunter pace as well; could PM you a contact if you are interested?

I have a few unaffiliated events in Aberdeenshire listed on my calendar (link in sig).

Just done a quick search of it:
14th April - Findon RC at Corrachree Farm
29th April - Aberdeenshire PC at Dunecht
13th May - Deveron PC at Knock

My Scottish geography is appalling but if you tell me other local counties I'll search them too!

Aswanley BE in September are always grateful of volunteers too, and probably both the Burgie BE's (July and Sep/Oct I think). There's often RC & PC ODE's on at Knock, nr Huntly too.

I've fence judged for Aswanley BE before and no training other than an evening prior to go through the rules was needed.

Not sure about leaving Aberdeenshire though :O lol erm Moray, Invernesshire, possibly Angus I get confused with Scottish geography to so just call it Grampian

My riding club is running and hosting the Area 22 dressage on 14th July and I think NERC is running the showjumping on 15th July but at Ladyleys RC. We would be very grateful for help!
