Hey guys. CI'm just trying to get some info on how these courses are... big, just up to hight, technical, scary, bod etc, and in the order they are. Eg, Buckminster is the first 100 so is it nice and inviting for that? Little down ham is the last novice so is it a good step for oasby intermediate? Yeah those sorts of things really, so here they are (and thanks in advance :D )

Buckminster BE100
Great Witchingham BE100
Carlton BE100 OR Breckenbrough BE100
Shelford N
Prestwold N
Burnham N
Allerton N
Little Downham N
Oasby I

Gt Witchingham is a nice early run for BE100, IMO. It's fairly up to height but there's nothing challenging on the course in terms of technicality- it's old-fashioned and time is the most influential thing generally. I really like it there :)

Thanks very much Lolo! Tough decision over carlton or breckenbrough 100. Do you know where I could find Breckenbrough BE100 course photos?

I'm guessing your planning breckenborough 2 ?
its well up to height & a lot of questions in there but a nice soild course ! I wouldn't want it to be my first 100 thats for sure !

Here are full course pics of Breckenbrough BE100 from last weekend.

This had undulating ground into it with a blind landing, on to a reasonably steep hill.

This was like a very strung out coffin, with about 7 strides between elements.

The B element was the water splash.

This was a bit weird looking and had a deep ditch beneath it, but jumped well.

I thought this was pretty decent for a BE100, but jumped well.

About 5 strides (as far as I can remember) on a very slight curve to B.

15 and 16 were numbered separately, but I think everybody did the them on the angle. The distance wasn't the nicest, I rode a short 4 on both my horses, but other people rode a long 3.

The B element was a splash through the water you can see in the background.

This was made more difficult by a strategically placed Christmas tree meaning you couldn't get an ideal line to it. There was an alternative, which was to loop round to the fence you can just see on the far left.

Hope that helps. It generally rode very well, but wouldn't be my choice if I had a ditchy horse.
