Beach ride within a few hours or so of Cheltenham?

Need some advice!

Have booked days off work/a horse box on the 4/5 August and I want to fulfill another bucket list item this year and take my horse to the beach.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to go?

the quickest from you is probably Brean just outside Burham on Sea. You can park right on the beach and then its a lovely long beach to ride on.

Oooo, thanks for this thread, I'm moving to Quedgeley in a few weeks and was wondering where the closest beach was! If you want a buddy to ride with later in the summer send me a PM

Ogmore by Sea just west of Cardiff's good, make sure you check that the tide will be out at the time you'll get to the beach though
