Beach Rides??? Where to go??

Hiya, Im based in Windsor in Berkshire, My friend and I are going to take her horse and my little girl for a beach ride on the half term. Can anyone reccomend a good one, obviously im going to have to travel but dont want to go hours away.
Suggestions would be great.

If you do find a beach it might be wise to check the local bylaws, most of ours are only open to horses after the holiday season ie from 31st Oct - 31st Mar

Oh yer i would do, couldnt think of anything worse than driving miles and not being able to ride on it. Planning on taking the dogs to, i think horses are similar to the dogs with the limits. Got to find one then can check the times ect.

Some people round here go to Hayling island but no idea which beach and when it is open.

you can ride on the beach at Studland Bay, Dorset, but again only at certain times of the day/year. That's probably the closest sandy beach to you, you can even go on the sandbanks ferry to make the journey shorter
