Can anyone tell me what, if any, of the beaches in Essex and Suffolk you can ride on. I am sure I know someone who has been down to Clacton or Frinton but trying to find any information on the visitor websites is impossible.

Trying to find somewhere a little close than Holkham at the moment.

Thanks

Thanks guys - will check out Frinton and Shoeburybness.

Have organised two visits to Holkham recently, first one was put off by the weather, second with a lame horse. Problem is we only really have 1 day a week we can go because my friend works and with the tides and everything it makes it difficult to organise.

Hoping to try out one of the above closer beaches!! I want to ride on the beach!!!

I've been on shoebury, was fab. You just ring the coast guard for tide times. U can ride anytime between oct- april but only early mornings and late evenings in summer. It's not really 'beach' though, it's more mud flats with a bit of pebbly sand And grass.
