Beach riding on Studland beach?

I was going to go to Studland beach before but I think we had to phone a council or something to tell them we were coming..Can't find anything on the internet can someone confirm this for me pleease?

Also, we planned to go before but as it was in the eater holidays we weren't allowed, are you allowed to go during half term?

I think you can go in half term but the times are restricted - maybe a good idea to phone the National Trust?? They own the beach and dunes and I think its them you have to buy a rider pass off to get access to the beach although I'm not 100% on that, but they should be able to give you times and stuff. Maybe even try their website, I know they did have a booklet with times horses can go on the beach.

Restricted times would be a serious bummer as we live a good few hours away..thats how it was during Eater last year, ggrr!
