I'm hoping to get my horses to the beach soon, something i've been meaning to do for ages but never sure where i can go?

We live just outside tiverton so were thinking north devon way... maybe saunton?

Does anyone know what the rules are regarding horses on beaches during the summer season? Do the rules change between diffierent beaches?

We'd be happy to travel an our or so in any direction (obviously towards the sea though

) so any suggestions? Also need to consider parking the lorry too!!

Thanks

I don't know if it's different in different counties etc but we take our lot to Southport quite allot, you pay £1 the get onto the beach (with the horsebox) we just park up where theres room and do our own thing. It's great for the horses and they love it!

We took ours to Brean (sp) sands near weston-super-mare once. It was a while ago, but i think we just parked the lorry just before the beach and rode straight onto it. But i think they only let you on there in the winter season.

When we were at Brean 2 years ago they were riding on the Beach during the summer, they parked lorries on the beach, not sure of the cost.

ring the tourist info for the beach you are thinking off , will tell you where you can ride , when , access etc , also tend at some beaches car parks that you can use will be too busy with day ytrippers etc so they can often advise on quieter ones
