Beaches Northumberland

First post in months; does anyone know what the rules/regulations are for riding on beaches in the North east area? (Particularly Newcastle/Northumberland way) Was thinking about taking the ponys for a blast tomorrow to make up for all the slow boring schooling they've been made to do recently

Don't really know general rules and regulations sorry, but I know Druridge Bay is gorgeous for riding!

duridge and Cambois aren't restricted not sure about newbiggen and Blyth have a feeling they are as they don't allow dogs on some parts....

Seaton Sluice is brilliant, can ride anytime, it even has signs up showing horse access point to the beach, it's right next door to Gloughster Lodge (sp) livery yard, bridle paths accross road from beach

Give slate hall riding school a call, they will be able to tell you. The ride past Bamburgh Castle is fabulous.

No idea but when at bamburgh castle and on the beach I was enviously eyeing up all hoof prints in the sand!

Seaton Sluice is good, plenty of parking but check tides to make sure they are out and be sensible regarding the speed you pass other riders and walkers please.
