Can anyone recommend either of the two Beagler hats, the classic or the slightly lower one? If anyone has any pictures of them when riding/competing that would be great as I tried both on today and am totally undecided as to which to get!! I am not that tall so the Classic might be more elegant but at the same time I have quite a big head so it might be better to have the slightly smaller one! Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Sorry this is of no use at all but have been told the Horka beagler is very nice and a fraction of the price.
As i said no use am i really

In my sig is my Charles Owen - its the low profile. I don't especially like the high ones.

I had a Horka one and it was vile - sorry alot cheaper but was really horrible

Beaglers are only permitted by BD & at some shows. For example BSHA permit hats without chin harnessess such as beaglers & bowlers, but shows like Bath & West don't (not even for judges) & the show rules apply over the society rules. PC, RC & most unaffiliated shows insist in hats with three point harnessess too. As Beaglers do tend to be expensive it will be as well to make sure they are permitted in the competitions you are planning to ride in.
Other than that...................Patey !!

Thanks was only interested in the Charles Owen just wasnt sure which of the two styles they do would look better, its for BD so not worried about regs for other shows, Thanks again
