Beau update 2

Well another visit to vet today. She is looking brighter but...........
she has lost more weight!
Last Friday she was 21.85
Monday she was 21.00
Today she was 20.65

More antibiotics.
I really don't know what to do. She is eating and her faeces are now firm and a much better colour and her urine looks paler than last week.

Back to vet next Thursday (unless she deteriorates)

Obviously for some reason her body is not "using" the food properly.
I am now so worried for her.

Glad she sounds brighter in herself - the weight loss could just be because of the infection - you know how rubbish you feel when you have an infection.

Is she eating normally? If so I would be tempted to give her a third meal at some point and would definitely get her some live yoghurt as she is still on antibiotics to make sure her gut has some support and also would make a cup of Bovril to pour over her dinner.

Ye I would definitely be giving her more food in a third meal (if you can manage it). How frustrating that you're not sure what it is =[ xxxx

Yes, she is having a 3rd meal at lunchtime and she is having cottage cheese on recommendation from the vet.

I'm thinking of going to feed merchant tomorrow to see if there is another food I could give Beau, to maybe help her gain weight. Obviously I will make the change gradually.

Jess is fine at home but hasn't been to flyball for a couple of weeks. We are going to a tournament this w/e so we'll see what happens,
