I'll post links instead of full pics - don't want to get my wrists slapped for too many photos.
We've had Beau for 10 days now and he's out of isolation so I can start bonding with him properly
He's been to the saddler and been fitted for a lovely Bates close-contact jump saddle, which will be here next week.

My dad is 5'7
.
My dad rode him last night in Jerry's dressage saddle (which has been fitted) and he had no brakes so that's another thing we need to work on. I had him in a gag but I'm going to put him back into a snaffle for the time being and maybe see about having him schooled for a few weeks to get us on track.
I lunged him today and he was a star
he responds to voice commands really well so I think that may be the way to go when I get back on next week.
a quick video:

I can see that he doesn't flex very well on the right rein so another thing to work on.
We have started with our mounting training and he's not as jumpy but we still need to work on him standing still once the rider is on.
I should hopefully be allowed to start riding again as of Tuesday so I can really try to crack on with sorting his mounting block issues and we can start to jump.
one last picture because he's a cutie pie
