I've been using Excel for years (live not too far from them so they deliver direct to me). Have tried other bedding, but always come back to Excel although I am thinking of switching Tilly (wees for England) on to Flax as it is supposed to be so absorbent. I use Excel on rubber matting - it makes a lovely fluffy sweet smelling bed. Apart from Tilly's bed, I just take the droppings out every day and the wet once a week. Usually top up with a bale a week. Even with rubber matting, my lot still have decent beds.

Ohh, it does sound perfect. Im liking only taking the poo out daily, especially with the winter coming up!

Archie is very very clean, so I think Im gonna get on well with it.

Do you use a nornal shavings folk to muck it out, or is there a special folk for this bedding?

Thanks

Yes, I use it. It's fine, similar to shavings to work with really, but is less dusty, smells nice and doesn't stick to them so much. Makes a nice, soft bed.

I just poo pick with rubber gloves and then use a rake to smooth it over and fluff up the banks. Use a shavings fork once a week to lift it and get the muck out. Poos stick together much better than in just a shavings bed. As your boy is clean, you'll get on really well with it.
