Had a rep call round yesterday telling me about a product farmers use for cleaner sweeter beds for their housed cows.. Apparently it's a powder that instantly makes any moisture turn into a harmless chlorine vapour, and it keeps the beds dry and sweet smelling.
I plan to try a bag but has anyone else tried a similar product? The stallion's wee smells really strong compared to everything else and I thought it may work on his bed.

Have used something similar called Stablezone - eliminates ammonia and smell. Great for a stinky mare and a stinky old clydie's mats.

Just sprinkle a handful or two on the wet area on his mats and you really notice the difference in the pee pong.

You can use it on the bedding or straight on the mats which I prefer to do.

We use a spray that was recommended by the manufacturers of the stable mats that are down. And it is really good at nuetralising smell.

One horse in particular will wee more or less on comand into a bucket - which obviously makes life much easier, and the stable odour free.
