i am desperatly trying to find a new bedding supplier i was using cushionbed but due to the long waiting times not good service etc i want to change the problem is to what???! i have tried beddown they aren't taking new customers due to shortage of product! shavings are very hard to get hold of and expensive.. dont like the look of woodpellets (am prepared to be proved wrong) easibed aren't taking on either was thinking it may be back to good old straw for now! does anyone have any suggestions

needs to be reasonably priced too
thanks

Paper or cardboard. Cheaper than most other bedding. Absorbant and dust free so v good for the horse. Only disadvantage is paper blows about outside but it soon disapears when it gets wet. Cardboard isnt as absorbant as paper
Im not convinced about wood pellets either because you take some wet out but have to mix some urine back in to the bed.
Hemp and elephant grass tend to be more expensive.
Theres also chopped straw, like Bliss or Cousin Jack.

hi kerilli if u dont mind me asking have you got a picture of a bed i could see my only thing about cardboard is the beds might look dirty before if u know what i mean! i'm just a bit ocd about the stables!!! lol
