I am a member of the older generation and have used straw all my life, I can remember the days when it was no problem at all to get small bales of straw,but nowadays Mr Farmer scratches his head or bottom and suck`s his teeth and says - Oh we dont do small bales any more, well Mr Farmer I dont care any more, I have no intention of searching for straw any more I have switched to shavings.I have a very nice supplier who delivers, he sends his young men over who stack it for me with a smile and a chat - I can tell you who it is if you want . nothing is too much trouble for them. So thanks but no thanks Mr Farmer. by the way I am not knocking farmers, nice guys, some of them.

I was on shavings last year but my god they are so dear.

And this year straw is included in with my livery so that's it then money wins over my OH's nose
