i am a flax convert but am scared about the cost - has anyone tried the above? or a 50/50flax and straw mix product thats now out?

The vets where i worked used ecobed. I wasnt too sure of it at first but after a few weeks, i was really happy with it. Its is dust free, very easy to muck out and doesnt smell as much as shavings. Its relativly light too. It was ordered by the pallet but i think they do smaller loads. You get some bales which are just normal card colour but you do get a few bales which have a lot of white in and they look just like shavings when down!

cool is it absorbant and easy to muck out or does it get soggy? its just a quid cheaper a bale than flax!

I've been trying megasorb. It seems to be extremely absorbant and doesn't move like shavings. The first week i deep littered and then only had half a barrow of wet out at the weekend. Normally with shavings she'd have at least 2, sometimes 3 bales.

Just got a load of Miscanthus in today to see how people like it compared to flax, bigger pieces tham flax, will see how it goes
