Hi, currently have my horse on straw but am considering changing of placed on long-term box rest as he is a complete minger in his stable! He is currently at the vets and they have him on Bed-Down which I actually quite like. Does anyone out there have any experience of using Bed Down compared to say shavings? Have used Hemcore in the past but quite like this Bed-Down but am torn between that and shavings - answers or comments on this or other types much appreciated. Thanks in advance

What is bed down? I've never heard of it!

I really like equisorb- absorbs pee very well, is so easy to muck out, and make a very nice, soft bed if you deep litter it.

Sorry am in a world of my own at the mo, just realised - I meant Bed-Max!!! Am going to repost but thanks for the info and making me realise my mistake - doh!

I'm also a fan of Equisorb, you need to make the bed quite deep, and I take the wet bedding out once or twice a week. Its very absorbent and also makes great manure for the garden!
