I used (and still do) 3/4 wood pellets mixed with 1/4 hemp (Aubiose preferably or Hemcore but Aubiose better absorbancy). They love it and dont eat it and it doesnt stick to rugs or them or me and the poos and wet stay where they are done, not kicked everywhere. Wouldnt use anything else now. And the girl is VERY wet and messy. Takes me 20 mins per stable for our two, used to take me over 2 hours with shavings or straw and there is a massively smaller muck heap.
