Does anyone put shavings in for travelling & does anyone have a horse who doesnt like travelling/going in that finds this helps?

I always put a bit in. New horse always pees in the trailer (come to think about it, last one did too) so I put shavings down. Plus it's useful for me if I'm somewhere that doesn't have a loo *whistles innocently* ;)

Shavings down as its so much easier to clean out wee and poo!

If you are havung issues loading and your horse has shavings down in their stables, take some from the stable and put them in the trailer. It can help as they are going into an area with a familiar smell.

Nope - we don't put anything down - but Kal still manages to wee as soon as he is on board - no doubt it's something to do with the travel boots protecting him from the splash back.

must agree with the last sentance haha ;)

Nope, but i must because my horse insists in having about 5 poos before even starting to move! Also will be good for peeing as others have said ;) Have had a friend who peed in her horses stable because she was late for a lesson and needed to loo, sorry going off topic.

I don't. Used to put straw in but found it was actually slipper when they'd peed. My rubber mats are decently bobbled though so never had a problem with them slipping on them directly. To clean out I simply poo pick and then wash it out with the hose.

I didn't used to, but I saw others doing it so have on the last few outings :)
Gave my dad the bale last time while I did the horse, he put loads in haha!! Normally just put a bit in

I put in a bag of dampened wood pellets. It can be slippier than an icerink in there with two excited sweaty horses.
