I have an Equi-Trek and was just wondering whether anyone put bedding down in theirs? Grace paws a lot when we are travelling, causing her to rip all the rubber matting up from the floor and she ended up travelling on the metal base

Someone has suggested she might be better with some bedding put down... but I don't really know anyone else who does this. Shavings would move too much, we do not have straw on the yard so the only other thing I can think of is Nedz Bedz which I used for Hannah when she was foaling down.

Any suggestions or experiences?

Have you thought of trying old shavings?
Had a horse that used to do this and by putting old shavings in they don't move around as much.
Just a thought

Don't have any old shavings I am afraid... I am a bit of a stickler with my beds and they are gleaming white at all times (OCD me thinks

We use laysoft in the lorry which is almost identical to easibed. I prefer it to straw or shavings in the lorry because they don't slip around on it. I just put half a bucket-full at the back where they wee and poo which makes it easier to clean out after a journey.

We use shavings in the trailer and lorry. It is true, that when they are 'older' they compact down much better.

I dont use anything. We put down some straw in the back for a messy horse once, but he crapped all over it and made it even more slippy!! I personally dont like using bedding in trailers because it goes everywhere! It falls out everywere, blows around when you open the doors etc.

We use Auboise or Hempcore in the lorry and find it v absorbent and doesn't blow about as much as shavings in the wind.
