Sorry, another odd question from me
.
Pressed wrong button and posted too soon
. Basically, does anyone on here use White Horse Bedding pellets and if so, are they cheaper/more economical than shavings?
I can't bed my mare on straw as A. She eats it and B. It's difficult for me to muck out.
At the moment, she's on shavings on the few nights she's been in lately. However, at £8.00/£9.00 a bale they aren't cheap!
White Horse Bedding is around £3.70 for a 10kg sack which works out slightly cheaper than shavings but, WHB is supposed to be much more economical, absorbent etc.
On the off chance anybody on here uses it, how do you find it? I'm also open to other, cheaper bedding options if you know of any.
Straw is an absolute no-go however.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the silly question
. I do really need to keep costs as low as possible to be honest so any pointers or advice would be appreciated
. Also trying to plan things now while I have some thinking time rather than waiting for Winter to hit and then getting in to a confused muddle!
