bedding question

Hi, I currently have rubber mats, with a layer of shavings to absorb wee and then a straw bed on top (straw is included in my livery so I might as well use it!)

I find Im going through the shavings through quite a fast rate, and they move around from under the bed quite a lot, could I use something else? What would you recommend?

Megazorb is very absorbant and hemcore is good but more like a very efficient shaving/Personally I prefer hemcore as its softer but if you have matting both would be ideal.

Im confused as to why you are buy shavings in the first place if straw is included and you could just have a full straw bed and use as much as you need

My horse is very wet and always wets in the same place and i have him on a full straw bed and it never smells and manages to absorb everything. I tried having shavings underneath but found it didn’t work the way I thought it would.
