I currently buy Bedmax for my horses, i find its better for the horses than getting shavings from a saw mill. Its £6.20 a bale so dearer than going to a saw mill, i tried to go online to buy a bulk of it but they only sell to stockists.

Asked the manager at the feed store if i bought bulk could i get a discount but he said no, well was worth a try. Anyone else buy bulk bales off the net, if so what website??
 
There is only one supplier here, id love to buy it in bulk hoping to get a wee discount, but he refused. I love bedmax and so does the horses, find that they arent coughing anymore. One bale does a stable so you get a good lot in a bale.

The shed where im at is leaking where my load of shavings are kept, so the bales are easier to keep.
 
I already had shavings in the stable, i cleared all wet and dirt and put a full bale in, i replace what i take out! The guy at the feed store said to bank what is slightly wet as it can be reused when its dried out, and it does work.

Not only is it dust free but i find its more absorbent than ordinary shavings. Also when you put new stuff down it sounds like your walking on snow lol
 
We have 'easibed' We get 10 bales at a time, from the web, and 1 bale does 7 stables. We have rubber matting, so only use a light sprinkling of it, and totally clear it out daily.
 
Happy2hack, you lucky git lol. I havent been using bedmax long but its amazing stuff!!! Horses always look for a nice roll when i put them back in again
