... your ragwort forks?

My new field has loads of ragwort and I have a team of lovely volunteers (my daughters Explorer Scout Unit, on the promise of a BBQ, drinks and a donation to their mini bus fund) willing to come and help me prepare it before it is fenced and the horses go in it.

My problem is that I only have 2 forks. If anyone can lend me forks, I will of course collect and return them to you and they will be carefully labeled so that they go back to their rightful owner.

Alternatively, have you any suggestions of what else we could use that will pull the whole plant and it's roots up?

I would be very grateful for any help or suggestions :)

if they thick enough you can no0rmally just pull them up root and all.

gloves are essential though.

rubber ones under gardening gloves is bes bet.

we have a few at our yard i can prolly lend you, are outside Dunstable though.

i have one you can borrow souldrop area, use it to dig jack thistles up.

Totally off subject, but I used to live near Souldrop. Does the Souldrop show still happen? I remember Desert Orchid came along and made a guest appearance one year. We were all very excited - a small village horse show, and Desert Orchid!

Hey, I remember Desert Orchid being there. My son was in a PC team class and we has our picture taken next tio Dessie. sadly I've lost the pic and would love a copy.
I have seen a schedule for this show this year at my vet surgery in Wellingborough, so it is definitely on.

Apologies for the late reply. Our internet access has been down for some reason. My 'workforce' are going to come either 1st weekend in July, or the 3rd. So will be in touch asap with those who have made kind offers, thank you.
