We are considering moving to Bedsoft Bio for our horses bedding, as we understand it composts down quicker. One of our horses usually eats straw bedding and we have been using Snowflake Softchip. According to the BioSoft website it is treated to make it unpalatable. Has anyone had any experience of this. It looks promising but wondered if it is as unpalatable as it says.

I use in in preference to shavings although most of mine are on straw, it has not been eaten by any of mine who have been on it, even the greedy pony never touched it, it certainly rots down well, makes a decent bed that stays where it is meant to fairly well and is less messy than shavings around the yard.
