Well as you know I have a tendency to 'borrow' other people's dogs at the slightest excuse. Slightly bigger excuse this time though I promise :p.

Driving home after helping out at a horse show to discover 2 tan terriers along the side of a rather fast B road (think very windy but with white lines so can be driven fast). Was rather :eek: to see the 2 cars ahead of me go round them, thankfully they were on a bit of a straight stretch so popped on hazards and hopped out of car. One happily came up to me and popped into the passenger seat with a 'hup' (sitting on my jelly babies!) the other was more wary, had managed to avoid the one annoying driver who insisted on whipping past my car and the rest of the traffic kindly stopped. Decided that the other one didn't look like it was going to remove my fingers and even if it did was worse on the road so grabbed it up and chucked her in the footwell.

One had a tag on and got an answer on the landline, and tottled off to deliver them, they had been missing since 8am (it was about 3pm at this point) were a fair way from home and were in a bit of a mess, both had red raw bottom chins, and one had a puncture wound in the centre of her bottom jaw so they were off to the vets. Very pleased to get them home safe anyways.
 
Nice one, really peeves me when cars see dogs running around in the road and insists on carrying on even though they can see you tryingh to help/get the animal, I got a cairn terrier that was running in traffic and it ran head on into a car that insisted on passing and at speed:mad::mad:
 
the owners are a slightly ermm 'interesting' couple ;) but they were very worried, I only just got the wife in the house, the hubby was still out looking.

Cayla it was a calf on the main A road a few weeks ago, the number of people that shimmied past it made me :eek: :eek:, only took me and a motorcyclist and hopped back over the ditch out of harms way.
 
Well done, it is shocking how many people just drive past an obviously lost dog. I always carry a spare slip lead in the glove compartment, just in case, it has come in handy many times.
 
Well done, glad it ended happily.

I can remember going home with a lost Staff on a loop of what ever I'd found and dad opening the door and shouting to my mum "look what you're daughter's brought home now!" - was only about 11. We found who owned him and they were reunited. I always stop if I'm in the car or on foot, couldn't bear it if I turned a blind eye and something happened to it
 
Well done. I would do the same if I came across a loose dog. So glad the are reunited with the owners. ( I'm so nosey - in what way were they 'interesting'??)
