A apart from the horizontal rain, had a bit of fun. It was Sov's second time hunting, and I was dreading it, but he behaved very well, and even managed to give a couple of leads and look after the 'little people' and their ponies. I did head in after an hour, mainly because he was so well behaved and chilled I thought it was best to finish on a good note, and it was very muddy. Really looking forward to New Years Day now.
Have to say that I really do love my horse!

They were at The Leisure Lakes, it was very wet so we only did an hour. They are at The Dresser in Wheelton (by Botany Bay) New Years Day, it will be wet there but I wouldnt of thought it would be any worse than Rivington tbh. The cap was £20 and is for NYD too. I will probably just do an hour there too :smirk:
And we have pics too

Sadly the fences are really well past it, that is going back some years HH, I did a team chase there about 17/18years ago and I think that was probably the beginning of the end of their events :(
Plans are afoot to build a new course.
Last time I went hunting there I was on the Lead Rein!!!! A good 25+years ago

I hunted with the Holcombe in the days of Doc. & Ma Leather, and Ernie Ried, Newton Bacon and many other names from the past. The young lady shown in the Anglezark Resevoir with her horse, she seems to have either taken off her Hunt coat, or lost it. If the former, did she enter the water to rescue her horse, if so, she deserves the highest comendation. Do you still miss Alex Sneddon?
