A lovely dales mare at a very reasonable price. I am looking for a nice project to bring on and sell in a year or two. She is rising 6.
I'm very taken by her but would like some opinions first.

Has anyone got/had a dales, how are there temperaments generally? Also, how popular are they in general in terms of loaning her out/selling on later?

The only problem I found with her is contact. She hates it and is currently in a jointed Pelham which I think is the problem. She throws her head a mile in the air when I pick it up. With little or no contact she carries herself nicely.
How easy would this be to correct?
She has had back teeth etc checked and I have the paperwork to prove it?

I had a wonderful Dales gelding, I broke him ,the easiest ,most straightforward boy ever.:)
He had a very sensitive mouth and I started him in a happy mouth.
He did everything, hacked/showing/dressage, I even enjoyed jumping him.
Sold to a lady who wasnt looking for a new horse, he was not for sale at the time but she just had to have him.He has a home for life with her.
I would say go for her people are always looking for sensible family types that can carry a fair weight.:)
