Are bees likely to sting my horse? I have had a rug on my boy for a couple of days and took it off today to find swollen areas that were hard like bites but did not seem to bother him much when pressed. I have put some aloe vera spray on them, but could it be bees as I have lots around there.
I am also a little concerned that they will make a nest in my hay stable...what should I look for?

Bees die when they sting...so they wouldn't want to launch a suicide squad on your boy!
They spend most of their time looking for flowers...to pollinate and to make their honey.....does your horse look much like a flower? (LOL)
It's probably bites from something else, like a horse fly, or midges...if he has a reaction, that antihistamine cream for human bites seems to help...
