I'm not after a debate on buying a horse at an auction, or anything else that will cause a ruction/heated debate.

I'm contemplating buying another horse to run alongsides my current one, dont have a massive budget, and have seen some very good stuff come out of the auctions. So I was wondering which would be the better place to go and have a look for, something about 15hh, LW cob type, probably hacked, and not done much of anything else.

Either one I will have to take a day of work, so just wondering which would be the best to go and have a look at.

look up York sales entries for tomorrow on " www.yls.co.uk " They have a nice collecting ring to try them before bidding ,can nearly always find transport home for you, they take payment by card ,and have a massive tack sale as well.(by the way you do look unwell ,best ring work tomorrow and tell them you are unfit to work but will hopefully be back on Monday. )

York had several cobs and decent riding horses last time I was there, beeston had loads of welsh mountain ponies and Shetlands. Think I would head to York, but check the catalogue first.

You could try Clitheroe on Saturday (It's regular - firstSaturday of every other month, so next one after at is first Sat inNovember). Gets some quite nice cob types in.
