Well I went with no expectations really and didn't do too badly. Most of the stuffwas just knocking about doing nothing anyway and I have more orless made the money for the new saddle I have just bought. Some real bargains. Some rubbish. I declined to pay £7 in the auction for a pair of hole punches and got one on one of the outside stalls for£4.75.Some brand new body protectors on the outside stalls for £40.Rodney Powell ones.Loads of greasy spoon type food. Jamie Oliver would have a fit.I made a pig of myself.Went to see the horses.Promised myself I wouldn't in case I got upset but went anyway.Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. All were in seperate penswith water. No bedding though. Some had hay others not but hay was providedby the entrance.Maybe some owners were too mean/lazy to fetch it.Hated seeing mares with foals. They are so vulnerable somehow.None of the horses appeared really distressed though and the atmosphere during the bidding was calm and pleasant and there were shavings down in the pen.One horse had knacker man all over him poor soul.Couldn't his owner have had the knacker man out and saved him that?If they couldn't afford it why did they have a horse in the first place? So many people are obviously breeding with no real thought of the future of the animals they are breeding.Makes me mad.One tw*t took a mare and foal in a pen. Both were standing quietly. Gate was open and he wacked the foal on the bum. Both shot out.He was an accident waiting to happen and I just can't understand why he did it.Non bunny huggers can perhaps explain? One or two really nice horses including a lovely Welsh section C.One small stallion described by owner as shy and prefers life out in the hills with his mares.Bring him to a crowded sale yard then why don't you?He seemed calm enough though. On the whole interesting day!

Didn't see any there but judging from the prices overall not a lot.Would be worth going.Saw some nice yearlings going for about £80. Papered and everything.
