No matter what the weather I always get a sweaty head. its ming my hair looks like some jamaicans lol. It does go mad though. I am worse in shows I go bright red I hold my breath.Look like a tomato. xx

Yes, I have this problem too. V embarrassing. I had a lesson with a new instructor a few years back, and after about half an hour, the instructor asked me to return to walk and halt. He walked over and asked if I was alright as I was a awfully deep shade of red - was he working me too hard - did I need a break!! I was mortified! I said I was fine (which I was) but I always go this colour when schooling and not to worry!!

Have never found a way to stop this - I just remember to laugh if off when people start looking all concerned!!

I get the runny nose aswell and I always take one hand off my reins and wipe it away with whatever I can otherwise I start sneezing

Me too! Bright red and look like Ive just washed my hair when I take my hat off. Friend looks all glam after shes rode and her lessons are twice as long as mine!

Yep I get the runny nose and normally end up cuffing it

I also get the sweaty head, my hat is minging and my hair looks terrible. Now its shorter and won't go up in a pony tail it looks even worse after riding or a lesson, very embarrasing!

Oh yes, very familiar with the beetroot face and I sweat for Britain. I carry a large handkerchief to try to mop up some of the sweat - and because I don't get a runny nose but my nose bleeds!

Those of you who get the runny nose and sneezing- it sounds like you are allergic to horses

Take some antihistamine!

It wont help with the red face though, sorry

I go BRIGHT RED after Ive been round XC! Also get a runny nose but I think thats just coz of the wind (coz we're going so fast and all!). I stay red for a good 20 mins after, really embarassing as I must look so unfit.

I generally get hot riding though too. I have been known to ride in a bikini top on a summers day in the past..... but not anymore - am too fat!
