I have owned my exracer George for three years now and it seems to have taken all that time for him to stop looking like a racehorse. This year we have had the best grazing i can remember and that with adding a little linseed to his diet I am starting to think he finally looks to be filling out. I just wondered what others might think of how he looks? I do know he has a wonky knee, and that he is very straight through the hocks, and that he is bum high! So no comments about his likely soundness issues are needed as I am more than aware of his short comings :D

Thanks in advance. N. x

what a super chap! :D He looks really well.

PS. Don't worry about him being slightly over at the knee, it's much stronger than if he was back at the knee.

he looks very well. I am in glasgow, but bought my tb from fordham in cambridge. I am 6 months in and still trying to get him to put on some nice weight. He was a lovely weight when i got him but due to him living out up here the winter took up his reserves so im now nearly there again, but he is looking lovely if i dont mind saying so myself! Well done you as he looks loved : )

Think he looks good, I've been struggling for 14 yrs with my TBs weight! They're blinking hard work at times...

I like him very much - lovely face and really nice sort. Mine's slightly croup high too, nothing to worry about

He looks great. Can very slightly see outline of ribs which is how I think an ex-racehorse should look (well mine does!) He looks well in himself and coat is lush :D

npage123, it's funny you should ask that as actually he's quite a complex chap. Not at all as kind as his looks might lead you to believe. He and I get on famously now.....but it was a very rocky road to begin with and even now I have to be wary of his moods!
He's a one person pony and quite protective of me and has quite a jealous streak. Typical man really ;P

This sounds familiar.... Although we are only 3 months in and I am still working out how best to deal with my boys 'moods'!

You're lucky to have such a special relationship with your horse! Well done for what you've accomplished so far. When I saw the 2nd photo, I thought to myself that this is one clever horse, always aware of what's going on around him.
