Beginning to hate this time of year!

Just been informed one of the horses at the yard has been pts with colic. Last Jan I found one of the horses that had slipped & fractured her pelvis & basically bleed to death, nothing I could do. Dec before that had my own mare pts after breaking a hind leg, 2wks b4 Mo came in with a fractured splint bone. Winter before that another 2 horses were pts. Years ago when I was involved with horses again it was always winter time! Nov to Jan I know it is coincidental, but even so this time of year is depressing enough!

oh no! Seems like a real run of bad luck! We had a pony from our yard picked up today, the breed society had insisted that it be PTS as it was dangerous, so he was picked up this morning, which was sad, even though he was a nasty little so and so....

cheer up i think it is purley coincidence!! You think towards summer!! and its christmas soon thats got to cheer you up.xx

Thought of summer is cheering me up, I am actually counting down to the 21st Dec as this is the shortest day, it is all uphill from there! Christmas has just come too quick this year..

Only 13 more days then it will be lighter every day. i don'y mind the cold it's all this wet and mud.
