Hi,
I got two horses a little while ago, ages 3 (gelding) and 5 (mare). The mare is already broken and an angel, however the three year old is causing some problems.
We had him first and he’s only just turned three and I’m wanting to start working with him (like lunging) however he sees himself as boss. We’ve tried herding techniques but he doesn’t seem to care and wonders off to do his own thing.
It’s starting to become a problem as he’s acting out when walking and trying to decide direction.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can get him to respect/trust me?
Thank you
