I always read the local Friday Ad 'Horses for Sale' section and have, for the last year or so, noticed a term 'General' on some of the ads

What does this term mean, please??

Highly ranked in the army. Possibly done some front line stuff, definitely has medals, probably a mustache and a pompous walk.

I think when you fill the advert in online, you have to tick whether it's a dressage, SJing horse or 'general' riding horse.

So when the advert is printed in the paper some of the wording shows up twice, because it includes the stuff in the boxes you've just ticked!!
