Being 'gifted' a horse - advice..

Without going into detail, ive been gifted a horse.

How do i make it binding? is a signed, witnessed letter enough? or am i better to 'buy' the horse for a nominal fee and keep the signed receipt?

I think you are better to pay a nominal anmount and get a signed receipt.

Def nominal fee. A friend of mine was 'gifted' a horse and after 3 years they 'changed' their minds and took it back. I actually think it broke her heart.

definitely buy for a nominal fee and change the passport,, my sister was gifted a horse once who was in a poor condition. she spent lots of money getting the horse ready to compete and as he started to do well the owner decided that he wanted him back. my sister even took the case to court but still lost the horse.. if you do go for it i hope you have fun with your new horse
