but what would you do:

Currently have an Irish SportS horse who appears to love jumping (no proven comp record though due to lack of transport!)

Would love to get her out to some comps but no transport :/ BUT she is incredibly lazy unless a course of jumops is set before her.

So my question is do I get something more forward going in all aspects like an ex racer (but sell my current horse)
or then keep current horse and buy an ex racer
Or
bUY transport to events for current horse to prove itself and then make a decision as to whether or not to sell??? TBH I am really only interested in jumping...
I sound like a right div (which I am!) but what would you do on limited budget?

Buy transport. If you get another horse you'll probably still be frustrated by not being able to go to comps.

Buy transport - you're going to need it anyway for any horse if you are serious about competing. If current horse does not prove herself, sell her if you will and buy another horse for the money.

Not really she will hack out alone but this is a chore in itself :/ and there are no local jumping comps nearby on a regular basis

If you can buy transport , i would then if said mare proves lazy and you decide to replace her you'll still have your transport and if the chips are ever down you'll still get good money for the trailer too - unless you trash it of course!
