Called up a woman about her horse being for sale, she was on the phone for over an hour, talking about him etc, eventually got her details and then agreed that we would go see said horse over the weekend. Got in last night and she had called she was on the phone for a bout 20mins with OH ie are you bringing a trailer etc with you to collect.

Is it me or is it a bit weird her being so forward.. she has never asked me for my contact number I just found it really off putting. Not that she was asking but infact that she has called.

She seems rather strange and off putting, however horse does sound nice, now i have a dilema of how to tell her that i'm not interested anymore (because of her!) i know she is going to be disapointed.

help!

why are you not interested any more is it because of her?if so it wouldnt put me off her ringing (it is a bit odd though)it seems a shame if the horse sounds nice and its what you want, i would still go to see it.

I'm helping a friend sell a horse at the minute and she is soo over the top with it all!! They ring up and she thinks its sold, they are quiet and she thinks its because they love him.

It wouldn't put me off, you can turn it around to your advantage, and get it cheaper!!!!

Definatley think it is a bit strange that she called but if its a nice horse then at least your getting what you want out of it at the end.

It is her thats putting me off.. I dont want to spend half the day looking at a horse if you know what i mean.. She was also like if you buy him I have to stay in contact with him, then she was wanting pics of my mare etc.. I thought flippin eck one thing at time.

As i said the more i think about it the less i want to go because of her.. i just have to find a way of telling her.

I'd still go & see it.

Just explain to her that you need to try the horse out, have it vetted etc before buying it. IF you buy it.

It is a bit strange, yes. But still go & see it. It may be just what you're looking for

Yeah just go, be pleasant to her and if you like the horse so be it. If not then at elast you don't sit tgere thinking what if the horse had been perfect.

God, I have gone to some real funny people's places before to try horses, you just have to be nice and do what you need to do with the horse and leave saying you'll give them a call. make sure you do call whether you want it or not.

She'll probbaly say you're a timewaster if you don't want him but if you know you're not then it doesn't matter!

I wouldn't write off the horse if it sounds nice.

She could just want a quick sale due to personal circumstances.

It sounds like you like the horse so... Phone her up, and tell her that you will come and look, but you have a couple of other horses to look at. Tell her that if you were to buy you would nedd to arrange a vetting. So she will not expect the deal to be done that day.

If there was something wrong with the horse she would have been brief and vague about the horse, and not keen on a vetting!

As we say up here, theres nowt so queer as folk!
