Anyone remember the belly covers you could buy that went into the sir ingles of your turnout rugs to cover clipped horses bare bits?

Maybe in going back too far lol but all I can find to buy is for fly and sweet itch rugs.

Has anyone seen these sold anywhere? Would really like to pick up a couple for my old mans rugs :)

I spent ages looking for rugs with tummy covers. The only one I found was a weatherbeeta one. It's a new version of a Taka but I can't remember iit's new name.

It was v expensive but only 100grms so it lasts all winter with different liners so worth the money!

Haven't seen any turnouts with belly warmers but have you checked out Snuggy Hoods?
They do under rugs which have a piece of material that runs from the chest, between the front legs and then attaches each side to cover most of the horse's belly. I have the Spik Span rug which is like thick jods type material. I also use the headless turnout hood too. She's fully clipped and I find that she is always toasty and warm, it keeps her very clean too. She is a very greasy mare and her stable/turnouts used to get really skanky but now I just use this rug and wash it each week - problem solved.

ps - there is a sale on at the moment!
