Rosie just dont bend shes like a stick and doesnt bend... guys are there any exersise that will help her start bending. advise and help welcome x
thanks
yes there are many:
do circles 40m/20m/10m
do zig zaging
just do lots of turns to get her to bend and move better.
i have noticed with rosie that she bends alot better in canter and trot than she does with walk anyway.

Lots of circles and serpentines really using your legs to get her bending round your inside leg and stop her falling out through her shoulder. Also worth trying stretching exercises in the stable bending left, right and between front legs for carrots.
I would defo consider getting an instructor as they can be sooo much help.
But if you can only school alone, depending on how stiff she is (make sure your ned is healthy) do loads, as in loads of simple bends to begin with, such as semi circles, circles, serpentimes, shallow loops, figure of eights and movement. Stay off the tract AS MUCH as possible, even if sometimes you ride a metre or so away from the track as you'll have to work alot harder as the horse will not be able to 'hug' the fence line/track. Another really really good exercise is to do lateral work, if you have not done loads of this before only ask for a few steps at a time, then one of the best things you can do is spiral out of a circle in legyield making it smaller and bigger - this really works.
Best of luck.x
Carrot stretches! I found with my tb that he was very stiff through his neck and back. get her to stretch left and right and down to her chest, it'll really help pave the way to bending when ridden.
