Hi there, just wondering what types of exercises you could suggest to increase suppleness and bending in my mare as she's a little stiff on one side. I also notice that if i hold my reins "evenly" shes actually leaning on one side and one ends up shorter than the other. if i even them out she falls in and i need a lot of leg to keep her straight. last time her schooling was drastically improved with an abbot davies rein as she had to support herself but as i dont have one and would prefer to do it gadget-less what exercises should i do?
Circles are a given.

Carrot stretches. If u've not come across them basically horse stands still and u use a carrot (hence the name) or other visible treat to encourage horse uh bend round to one side then the other and down between front legs etc. Start small as with anything then gradually increase how far u ask horse to reach over a couple weeks. If in doubt get a mctimoney practitioner or physio to take a look.
