Benefits of different types of sugarbeet (and alfabeet if that counts...)

As in title - what are the benefits of:

bog standard sugar beet
unmolassed sugar beet
speedi-beet - have heard it's more digestible? why?
Alfa-beet?

Obviously I know that normal sugar beet has more sugar than unmolassed but does that make it more digestible? This is to feed an elderly mare.
