Hi there, any news on how P and Benj got on yesterday? xx

Long story short, he blocked out positive to the coffin joint. It appears that is joint has so much bone, they had alot of trouble getting the needle in. 4 needles and 3ml of anaestetic later, he was alot better after flexion.
Little sod was so hyped up when we got there, being a real thug!
Course of action now, is to take him back and get the joint medicated, get his shoe back on and get him walking.
He also had a blood test to check to see if there are any underlying problems causing the filled legs/sheath/tummy.

Hi Paula,
I suppose then thats good in a way at least youre getting to the bottom of it bless him, we've all got everything crossed here and really hope that he comes right, i'm sure all the fluid build up is due to the box rest and nothing more sinister than that, but best they be sure. Give him a big hug and a kiss from me, Blue and Harriet and lots of big hugs to you too, I know what its like believe me when they are poorly, I end up feeling worse that if it were my other half, ha ha!!!

If you fancy a gentle hack on soft ground, come on over - I promise Mr C won't try to race Benji again
Or I can come out on Stinky who only does a little trot - or if you want, come on over and take out Mr C and I'll accompany you on Stinky. Western saddle awaits you.

Aww, thanks T. Sadly, Benj won't be going anywhere with me on his back for the forseeable future.
But, Mr C and his armchair sounds most appealing

Bugger - promised to do this weekend, but I am fairly sure that the ones he has on front are about 11" - this means he can wear them below or above the fetlock - though he normally has them under the fetlock and feather.
Problem is I only ever run my finger under them once a week and never really see them so can forget they are there.
