Evening all
I'm back from MrsMs so thought i'd fill you all in as to what we got up too - how far I'll get i have no idea - thanks to having bloody toothache since i got off the tube!
Had a bit of a discussion with the tube getting to St pancras but got there in good time, off I went to Derby station, Where I was greeted by the lovely MrsM and D2 with D1 in the car. MrsM gives awesome cuddles!
Then off we toddled to the yard, and I've got to say right here, that their neds are all just adorable! I would of happily brought them all back to London with me, from LL (correct me if i've got their internet names wrong MrsM) who is just the cutest little thing ever, to LC with his 'I'm not ready to lay down yet mane' to GM and her 'lets canter into the middle of the school and along the sides, sideways in a straight line' to the Dizz and her 'everything eats me, but I can look amazing' antics. Very lovely and I got cuddles off them all.
Chatted to D1 and MrsM whilst they groomed and learnt more about their backgrounds etc, then D1 got on GM and I spent my time thinking 'the horse is crazy'... cantering sideways isn't something I've ever seen done for more than one or two strides, but she preforms well at it! Little monkey. D1, I have to say, is a crackin' little rider, she may be a slight little thing but shes got a good seat on her thats for sure! Silly GM... GM was being a bit silly, and it was decided she might be a bit cold, so D1 and MrsM organised an exercise sheet, and off they went, she settled down alot after it went on. Bless her. I have no doubt at all D1 and her will go far if they keep making progress... !!
D1 then got on the dizzy one, and walked and trotted for a while whilst me and MrsM retired to the car! (what-can-i-say-we-have-sense!!!) Other than a couple of 'I want my nose out here' moments the Dizz was behaving well so MrsM said I could have a ride on her... *EEEEEK* After a rather 'odd' leg up from D1 I walked Dizz around a little bit, she wasn't overly keen on one of the bottom corners, just looking at it like it may eat her at any moment, but nothing major, a change of rein and a walk, then a trot, lovely trot considering shes not 'fit' at the moment, she got a little tense and as MrsM went to explain something to me, Dizz jumped into the middle of the school - ha ha ha - MrsM gave me a bemused look and said 'well sat'... I giggled... (I told you i was mad!) and off we went again, just chilling out, Dizz, I have to say felt lovely to ride, a little 'quirky' but quirky rocks! She must have felt reasonably nice as the pictures MrsM took i look far too bloody relaxed (my position is horrendous! Bad Millie)
D1 then brought LC into the school... hehe, and was playing with LC whilst i had a few more walks round on the Dizz, I kept laughing, LC and D1 have a fab bond! Her and D2 were playing and got off the Dizz, got to admit, I loved riding her!
D1, D2 and me were trying to get LC to follow D1 but it wasn't working so D1 got on LC bareback and we had lots of giggles at just how cute LC is following polos around! Or at least attempting too! After re-rugging the neds, they went back into the field for the night and we went to the tack shop, I was a good girl and didn't buy anything - MrsM got boots and we sat and chatted for a while before heading back to their house.
Here I met D, whose is just lovely, and makes the most awesome pies!!!! Chicken and Mushroom, my favourite!!!! I also met the craziest bunch of cutest dogs ever, n'awww, I still want them! And the kitty cats who weren't quite as friendly as the doggys but still ridiculously cute!
After dinner D2 and D1 went off swimming whilst me MrsM and D watched a film - I haven't just sat and watched a film like that in ages - as they probably guessed, was really lovely. I really felt like I was welcome.
I'll either type day 2 up later or tomorrow, I need pain killers!!
Thank you ever so so so much for having me, I loved it all!
