Not the best quality I'm afraid as I forgot my camera and had to use my phone. But here is the man himself, up and about today although allowed no excercise whatsoever so just pootling gently about the house!

He was remarkably perky considering what he's been through and it was lovely to give him a hug and a kiss.
Of course I was sent away with armfulls of goodies for Tills much to her delight on my return!

To think that Bernie was knocking on heavens door just the other day, it is really hard to imagine. Though he does seem to have mastered the ''I need lots of cuddles''-look.

OMG OMG I want them BOTH to come and live with me, they are gorgeous

I am so pleased it all had a happy ending, I hope Bernie goes from strength to strength and Tills enjoys her goodies

I can see I am going to have to feed my three up so I can register them

I only weighed them at the vets last week so I know they all have some way to go

Haha I knew you would like him! He comes with a pretty sizeable vets bill now though!!

Tills is a big girl for a lurcher (height and bone, not fat!) and only weighs about 27kg so I think your guys will have to be obese! Especially poor iccle Many!

Poor Bernie needs some feeding up now too, he was leanish before the accident as he had just had a growth spurt but its amazing how quickly they drop weight when poorly. He gone like a hatrack in just two days.

Yup I remember when Ellen was in vet hospital with her poorly leg, I have never seen a dog look so emaciated and sick in such a short length of time, it is dreadful how quickly they lose condition

But now Bernie is on the road to recovery he can have lots and lots of food to make him feel better

I cant imagine Many sitting still for long enough to put any weight on mind you

She is amazingly fast, she left little Flick standing today in the field

Amy looks fast, I'm not sure how I can tell that from the few standing or lying still pics I've seen of her but I have always assumed she would be pretty quick for some reason!!

Yup I'm sure Bernie is going to bounce back quickly, he has youth on his side as well. I can't wait for a few months time when he is allowed to run again, will be posting piccies of him and Tills together having a nice walk and play!

Flickle never made it to the race track - she was dumped in Ireland because she never grew big enough

She has appalling technique mind you, I was shouting to her 'cut inside to catch up'

Amy is amazing, must be the whippet in her, she shoots off like a little rocket

Islay can catch her up but then (says proudly) Islay has Won Races you know

Flick you poor little short arse! She's probably lucky she didn't grow big enough...she found you and your sofa a few years earlier

Islay strikes me as the type that would only bother to run if she knew she was going to catch up Amy or, previously, win the race!

Poor Bernie, so good to see him up and about although he does look as if he is going to milk it. I hope the treats have helped Tilly to forgive you for your cruel treatment.
