Farm shoot today, I was mostly at work but went along for two drives with the boys.
I had just wanted to see if I could keep his attention with lots going on (this is training homework!)
We stood with the picking up dogs and he stayed sat quietly.
When they went off to do their stuff I just wandered up the field with them (on leads) and we found one so I let him have look, told him to get it and he grabbed it and carried it back to the game cart!
Cecil thinks the whole set up is solely to flush hares out for him so was strictly on the lead sadly as I could see that one going quickly wrong!

Another thing actually which I only just realised how good he was for it. At one point OH had him and went off somewhere while the last drive I did was shot. When it finished he came walking back over the field, past the guns and let him off the lead. I was horrified, he’s good but never had his recall tested in that situation. I yelled and he came straight too me! at which point he was swiftly back on a lead! Very very pleased with him for that one!
