I tried on the gatehouse HS1 (which I love in Silver) a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to big in my size but the size down was painful! What are the best alternatives to try?
If your not sure of size they will send out a head measuring kit and make it custom size for you. Very friendly and quick to deal with, plus all made in the UK to the highest safety standards.
I've been riding in an HS1 for a few years now, comfiest hat I've ever owned but always had a problem xc with it tipping forwards over fences, assume the whole body protector, air jacket, number bib, pony tail combi pushes the back up. As the padding's given it's getting a bit big now so looking at the rxc 1. It does fit differently, for me it felt a little snug but probably a good thing bearing in mind what I'm currently using. Has anyone else had the same issue with too much safety gear xc?
Thanks for the replies guys, I'm goner try the gatehouse RXC1 and the charles owen 4* as I think they are both stocked locally, and I really don't want to buy off the internet. The ProTector looks great too tho. Polonaise, my current hat fell over my eyes on the gallops which wasn't ideal, but defintely not ideal for jumping! So there's no way I'm goner buy a new one if it feels loose, I think the HS1s must come up fairly big.
