Best arena size to build??

Help! I am in the middle of an arena build and having second thoughts.

Currently having a 25 x 40 installed, but would 20 x 45 be a better option or stick to what I am going with? I have changed my mind 3 times already and just don’t know what to do as my OH isn’t horsey. I event so it would be to jump on as well.

Desperate for horsey knowledge advice!!

I would probably go with the wider option 25x40

always go wider. 20 is quite tight on a longer striding horse.

Defo stick to 25 wide.
20m makes it really hard to jump a course and create a bit of flow in your riding!

Mine is 25x40 and I’m really glad we added the extra width.

I would go to 30x40 if you have space and can afford it. It makes a much better horse playground, the flexibility of what you can do in it is endless.

The biggest you can afford.
Make it bigger than a dressage arena so you're not riding on the sides all the time.
If finances are tight then 22 x 42 .

The biggest you can afford. Of the two options you mentioned I would go with 25 x 40 for jumping over 20 x 45.
